What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Why did my Office conversion fail?

Office conversions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint ↔ PDF) run on our server using LibreOffice. Complex layouts with special fonts or macros may not convert perfectly. Try simplifying the document if issues persist.

Merge PDF and JPG to PDF support multiple file uploads. Batch processing for other tools is available for Pro subscribers.

How does Compress PDF work?

Our compressor re-rasterizes each page as an optimized JPEG, then rebuilds the PDF. You can choose between three quality levels: Less compression (best quality), Recommended, and Extreme (smallest size).

Can I edit text directly in a PDF?

Our Edit PDF tool lets you add new text, annotations, and shapes on top of existing pages. It doesn't modify existing text — for that, convert to Word first, edit, then convert back to PDF.

Yes. Our OCR tool uses Tesseract to recognize text in scanned PDFs and add an invisible text layer, making the content searchable and copyable. Currently supports English.

Yes. Within a single session, the chat remembers your conversation history so you can ask follow-up questions. Uploading a new PDF starts a fresh conversation.

Are my documents sent to AI servers?

For AI features (Summarize, Translate, Chat), the text content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. The text is not stored or used for training. For all other tools, your files stay in your browser.

Yes. For most tools, your files are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded to any server. For server-side tools (Office conversions, OCR), files are processed in memory and deleted immediately.
