✨ AI Contract Review. Upload any contract — NDA, SaaS agreement, employment, lease, vendor MSA — and get an instant risk score, flagged clauses, and plain-language obligations.

Not legal advice. The AI surfaces common concerns and summarises terms — it does not replace a qualified attorney. Always consult counsel before signing material agreements.

About this toolAI Contract Review

Reviewing a contract used to mean one of two things: paying a lawyer hundreds of dollars an hour for a thorough read-through, or skimming it yourself and hoping you didn't miss a landmine clause. PDF Genie's AI Contract Review gives you a real third option — a fast, thorough, structured analysis that surfaces the concerns a lawyer would flag, written in plain English, delivered in about a minute.

Upload any contract PDF — NDA, SaaS MSA, vendor agreement, employment contract, lease, services agreement — and the tool produces a risk score (1-10), a plain-language summary of what each party is agreeing to, a list of red-flag clauses with exact quotes and rationale, a check for missing standard clauses (limitation of liability, governing law, termination rights, and so on), the full financial picture (fees, auto-renewal, penalties), and the specific dates you need to track. Everything is grounded in the text of your document — no hallucinated boilerplate, no generic legal platitudes.

The review is designed for common patterns any experienced contract lawyer would watch for: silent auto-renewal, unilateral modification rights, one-sided indemnification, uncapped liability, overly broad IP assignment, non-reciprocal termination, jurisdiction traps, mandatory arbitration with fee-shifting, exclusivity lock-ins, data-usage overreach. If the contract has these, you see them — along with a suggested negotiation point for each.

This tool is not a substitute for a qualified attorney and we make that explicit. But it gives you exactly the right questions to ask before you pay a lawyer, or before you push back on a counterparty's draft. For the 80% of business contracts where a full legal review isn't economical — freelance contracts, routine vendor MSAs, small SaaS agreements — it's often the difference between signing blind and signing informed. Free tier is 10 reviews per day; Pro extends that to 500 a day for $7/month, which is what a single hour of lawyer time would cost you.

Frequently asked questions

Is this legal advice?+

No. The AI surfaces common red flags and summarises terms, but it cannot replace a qualified attorney. Always have counsel review material agreements before signing.

What kinds of contracts does it handle?+

Any text-based contract — NDAs, SaaS MSAs, employment, lease, vendor, services, partnership. Fully scanned image-only PDFs need OCR first (use our OCR PDF tool).

How accurate is it?+

Claude is very strong at surface-level contract analysis and highly accurate on common patterns. It can miss jurisdiction-specific nuances or industry-specific norms — use it as a first pass, not a final review.

Is my contract private? Do you store or train on it?+

Contract text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis and then discarded. We do NOT retain the PDF or its contents on our servers, and Anthropic does not train on API inputs. Unlike most PDF Genie tools which run entirely in your browser, this one requires a server round-trip because Claude is too large to run client-side.

How many contracts can I review per day?+

Free plan: 10 reviews per day per visitor (shared across all AI tools). Pro plan ($7/month): 500 AI operations per day, which is enough for heavy daily use. Contact support@pdfgenie.io if you need a higher quota.

Is there a file size limit?+

Contracts must be under 20 MB for AI review. That covers nearly every contract you'll encounter — even a 100-page MSA usually sits well under 5 MB.

Is the review available in my language?+

The AI reads contracts in any language and produces the review in English. Multi-language review output is on the roadmap; for now, translate the review back to your preferred language using the Translate PDF tool if needed.
